Staff Innovation Grant
The Staff Innovation Grant provides any employee of Langley Memorial Hospital and Langley Health Services, who works with Langley health care populations, an opportunity to access funds to support the development and testing of new programs, services, tools, innovation, or other initiatives that can strategically advance health care with the ultimate objective of improving outcomes for the community.
Tim Schultz Medical Imaging Education Grant
Tim Schultz was an x-ray technologist in the Medical Imaging Department at Langley Memorial Hospital from 1993 - 2018. Not long after his retirement, Tim suffered a brain aneurysm and passed away on April 30, 2019.
Tim had a tremendous impact on our hospital. He was an incredible positive person and always showed great care towards his patients and his work colleagues.
Thanks to generous donations made in Tim’s memory, LMHF has created the Tim Schultz Medical Imaging Education Grant, providing an annual grant of up to $500 to allow medical imaging staff access to innovative learning and research opportunities.
Iris Mooney Maternity Education Grant
There are few people in Langley who do not know the name Iris Mooney. Iris spent most of her 38-year nursing career at Langley Memorial as the maternity ward head nurse where she ushered over 20,000 babies into the world.
Iris was a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on our hospital and community.
Thanks to generous donations made in Iris’ memory, LMHF has created the Iris Mooney Excellence in Maternity Nursing Grant, providing an annual grant of up to $1,000 to allow maternity staff access to innovative learning and research opportunities.
