Heart attack, a sudden inability to breathe - they're called "Code Blue" in a hospital. A warning to staff that a patient is in life-threatening distress and we don't have a minute to lose. Each and every second is a matter of life or death.
A code blue emergency can happen at any time, day or night. And how we respond to them is a matter of life and death.
Crash carts are wheeled carts that store vital life-saving tools. They store all the medications and equipment that help us restore the airways of patients as they’re struggling to breathe or restart a heart.
For every $5,000 we receive toward our most urgent needs fund, TB Vets will match these funds and purchase 1 crash cart.
With your gift, we will be able to park crash carts at key spots across the hospital, in easy reach of staff in an emergency.
