A holiday must-see, the Newlands Festival of Trees is a forest of beautifully decorated holiday trees, dressed in fun and creative themes by generous community sponsors, in support of Langley Memorial Hospital.
“We’re so honoured to be included as the charity of choice again this year. This event kicks off our Christmas season,” said Vivian Smith, Executive Director of Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation. “It’s a time of year when family, friends, neighbours, and the citizens of Langley come together at Newlands to help support their hospital and health services in the community, and we just want to say ‘thanks’.”
Join the fun! Visit Newlands Golf Course (21025 48 Ave., Langley) from now until December 24 to cast a vote for your favourite tree, with a minimum $2 donation. The tree with the most votes by the end of the season will be named “Master Trimmer.”
Thanks to over two decades of support, this festival has raised over $122,000 for the hospital’s most urgent needs. This year, the community helped to raise over $5,300.00! Thank you to everyone who participated in this annual event, making it a huge success each year. And a special thank you to Newlands Golf Course for providing such an enormous amount of support each year.
