A third-party service provider, Blackbaud, has recently experienced a ransomware attack that has impacted some of their charity clients around the world.

Blackbaud, one of the world’s largest providers of education administration, fundraising and financial management software for non-profits, paid a ransom in exchange for the deletion of the extracted data.

While Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation does have a contract with Blackbaud for services, none of our information was in anyway extracted in this attack. Rest assure, your donor data resides on our server and has not been accessed by any outside party.

An official statement from Blackbaud:

"I can confirm that the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation was not a part of this incident. The incident was limited to a subset of our Blackbaud hosted (or co-located) environment. This incident did not involve solutions in our public cloud environment (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services), nor did it involve the majority of our Blackbaud hosted environment."

If you have any questions about the safety of your data, please reach out. Info@lmhfoundation.com or 604-533-6422.
