Every year, Langley Memorial Hospital helps over 52,000 patients receive the care they need, close to home. It’s an honour for us at the Foundation to be the channel that allows our generous donor community an opportunity to provide essential improvements for those health care journeys.
This year, we launched Emergency Response, a campaign to build a new Emergency Department and bring an MRI Suite to Langley. The investment made this past year in staff and organization support has begun to show results, helping lead the way to launching the $15 million campaign with $5-, $2- and $1.5-million gift announcements. With the campaign now underway, we look forward to disbursing the funds, starting in 2020.
While working hard on this transformational philanthropic campaign, we have also been successful in maintaining our annual commitment to the hospital to help replace aged and out-of-date equipment, provide training opportunities for medical staff, and ease the sometimes stressful patient experience with comfort items.
