Festival of Trees

November 19 – December 24, 2019

The Newlands Festival of Trees creates a forest of beautifully decorated holiday trees in support of Langley Memorial Hospital. The 2018 event raised $5,090.05, bringing their lifetime total raised for the hospital to $117,000.

Cast your vote for your favourite tree with a minimum $2 donation in support of Langley Memorial Hospital. The tree with the most votes by the end of the season will be named “Master Trimmer.”

Drishti Awards Gala
November 15, 2019 

We are thrilled to report $12,180 raised  through the Drishti Awards Gala raffle.  

Raffle tickets were matched with a generous donation from Balraj Mann of BM Group, bringing in the incredible total of $12,180. 

Our heartfelt thanks to Drishti Media Group for choosing  Langley Memorial Hospital as the charitable partner and helping to purchase much-needed life-saving equipment. 


Hike the Grind Pledge Drive

Langley firefighter, Mark Butterworth, ran Grouse Grind on August 11 in full turnout gear in support of Mental Health Awareness! By the time he reached the top his Hike the Grind Pledge Drive had raised $3,725, exceeding his goal. All money raised will go to support mental health programs available through Langley Memorial Hospital. 

Big thanks to Mark and the Township of Langley Firefighters' Charities for being such great supporters of the hospital and mental health initiatives in the community.


Farm Fresh Blueberries for Good!

Our thanks to Valley Farms and to Langley Memorial's very own Jagdish Dhindsa for selling gown-in-Langley fresh blueberries last month. The delicious (and nutritious) blueberries were sold in 10lb boxes and $3 from each box was donated to Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Thanks to Jagdesh, her team's hard work and the staff's hunger for blueberries, Valley Farms raised over $1,350 for the hospital. 


5th Annual Butterfly Release at Chartwell Langley Gardens 

For the last five years Chartwell Langley Gardens has hosted a butterfly release to remember and celebrate life. This years event provided community members an opportunity to connect, young and old, and enjoy live harp music, bid on silent auction items, purchase raffle tickets and more.

Since it started in 2015, the Butterfly Release event has raised more than $15,000 for Langley Memorial Hospital.

Unique Yoga Class at Mercedes-Benz Langley

Yogis from around Langley and the Fraser Valley came together to participate in a unique yoga class led by Oxygen Yoga and fueled by Joseph Richard Group at Mercedes-Benz Langley on Saturday, July 20th. 

All proceeds will support much-needed life-saving equipment at Langley Memorial Hospital.

The Power of The Purse

On Thursday, April 25, the Soroptimists International of the Langleys hosted a purse auction in support of Langley Memorial Hospital. 

co-workers, friends, and family gathered for a fun night out that raised funds for the Langley Memorial Hospital Mammography Clinic.

Thanks to the support shown at this event, the Soroptimists of Langley were able to donate $5,000 to help purchase a ultrasound probe for breast imaging in the Mammography Clinic.
