Donations can be made online, by phone, in person or by mail. Your donation can be directed to a specific department or fund or to the area of the greatest need.

2 Can I request that my donation go to a particular program?

The Foundation works closely each year with Hospital Administration to develop a comprehensive list of urgently needed pieces of equipment for all hospital departments. Donors are able to designate their gift to a particular program if they so choose. Unless noted otherwise, all donations will be directed to the area of greatest need.

3 Can I hold an event to raise funds for Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation?

Each year hundreds of caring individuals and groups raise money for the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation by hosting independent special fundraising events. These could include everything from a bake sale, to a golf tournament, to a school bottle drive, to a bingo night or even a group carwash. All it takes is a little creativity, some careful planning and the desire to make a difference in the lives of many.

We will work with you to make sure your event is a success. Contact us at (604) 533-6422 during office hours for inquiries. We are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm (Pacific Standard time).

4 Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?

Yes, the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation is a registered charity, and we supply tax receipts for all donations of $25 or more. To reduce onhealthy neurontin administration costs, receipts for gifts under $25 are sent only upon request.

If you are making a single donation online, you will automatically receive an electronic tax receipt by e-mail within a day of making your donation.

If you are making a monthly donation by mail, over the phone or in person, you will receive a tax receipt by mail within a two-weeks of making the contribution.

The Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation is a registered B.C. Society and a registered Canadian Charity. Our Canada Revenue Agency Charitable Business Number is BN 13389 2638 RR0001.

5 Can I make monthly donations?

Yes, Monthly donations can easily be made through pre-authorized monthly payments from your chequing account or your credit card. (Minimum $5 per month). If you are interested in setting this up, please phone (604) 533-6422.

6 How do I make a gift/bequest through my will?

When making a gift bequest your lawyer or notary drafts a simple clause as part of your will. You can request your gift to be used to support a particular program or area at Langley Memorial Hospital. Since bequests take effect in the future it would be difficult to predict the most critical healthcare needs. However, a bequest for the general purpose of the Foundation ensures that your gift will support the area of greatest need. 7 How do I make a donation to honour someone?

For a special occasion (birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, corporate gifts, Christmas, other holidays, etc) consider making a donation in the name of someone you wish to recognize and honour. 8 How do I find information on becoming a Volunteer?

A number of volunteer opportunities are available. If you are interested in volunteering for an event or to help in our office, please contact us by phone or by e-mail . Find out more on how you can make a difference!

9 How do I have my name added or removed from the mailing list?

To have your name added or removed from our mailing lists, please inform the Foundation office by calling (604) 533-6422 or email us. We will be happy to oblige. Please provide us with your full name and address as it appears on correspondence we have had with you.
